Easter Egg Hunt at the Woodpile

As you have probably guessed by now, we like to celebrate all of the holidays. Mom set up an Easter Egg Hunt for everyone at the woodpile. Little boys and girls like to find chocolate and money in their eggs. We much prefer to find fresh sunflower seeds. Bushy has been just a little excited for a couple weeks now in anticipation of the Easter Egg Hunt. Okay, he has been talking non-stop about it for two weeks! He was bragging about how many eggs he was going to find.

The day finally arrived and all was set. Everyone lined up waiting for the go ahead. Off we went. Bushy was the first to find an egg. He cracked it open and was busy munching down his treat. Hmmm … good. Then he spotted the birds eyeing his seeds. Time to find a safer place to eat. He scurried off to a safe spot to enjoy his treat. Once he had gobbled up his treat, he returned to the egg hunt and discovered they were all gone. What happened?

Boys and girls, the moral of this story is collect all the eggs first and then eat the treats inside later.
