The fall season ushers in a flurry activities, pumpkin
carving, leaf peeping, corn mazes, and the annual squirrel acorn burying
contest. Each squirrel vies for the title of "Acorn Master." For the
past three years, Bushy has held this title at the Woodpile. Last year he
buried so many acorns, he couldn't remember were half of them were! Mom ended
with a lawn full of oak trees instead of grass. I thought I would help her out
this year.
Bushy is diligently collecting an acorn
When he thinks no one is looking he hides it
He carefully packs down the dirt over the acorn
I was carefully watching his every move …
I "liberated" the acorn from the lawn and ran
like hell before I got caught.
Bushy, "I thought I heard something?"
